Edrys W. Ross, 94

 

Edrys W. Ross, 94, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2007 at Rochester General Hospital surrounded by loved ones.

 

Born on February 5, 1913 in Whitehall, he was the youngest of eight children born to the late James and Sarah (Thomas) Ross..

Mr. Ross was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.  He retired from the Eastman Kodak Company and he was a member of the New York State Free Masons, Lodge No. 96.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his beloved wife of 49 years, Bernice (Vallio) Ross.

He is survived by his nephew, Robert "Soupie" Ross  And his wife, Marguerite of Whitehall; and several other nieces and nephews several great nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours.

 A graveside service, with full military honors,  will be conducted on Friday, July 27th, 2007 at 2:00 PM at  Greenmount Cemetery in Whitehall with Rev. C. Don Wheeler, Pastor of the Whitehall United Methodist Church, officiating.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to a charity of

 one’s choice.
