Joyce Veronica Terry, 81,

 

Joyce Veronica Terry, 81, of Whitehall, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Eden Park Health Care Center.  Her last day was spent with her sons and daughters by her side.

 

 Born on May 2, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Jeanette (Greenwood) McKee.

 A loving mother, she especially enjoyed time with her family at many large family get-togethers.  Joyce had fond memories of her younger years spent camping on the islands of Lake George.  She also enjoyed being creative and provided her family with many keepsakes of her needlework.  Joyce was an avid sports fan and loved the Red Sox and following her many grandchildren and great grand children’s sporting endeavors.

 She is predeceased in death by her husband of 32 years, Gerald H. Terry, her brothers, Donald and Walter McKee, her sister-in-law Evelyn (Terry) Griffin and her son-in-law, John Valastro.

 Survivors include her four children, Tim Terry and his wife, Mary, Gayle McKiernan and her husband, Alvin, Mark Terry and his wife, Cindy, and Evelyn St. Claire and her husband, Steven; eleven grandchildren, Christopher Terry, Eric Terry, Paul Terry, Melissa Gordon, Amy Milardo, Jeremy Terry, Jason Terry, Valerie Terry, Katie Terry, Hannah St. Claire and Evan St. Claire; thirteen great grandchildren, Connor, Claire and Kathleen Terry, Jessica, Macayla and Arica Gordon, Jennah, Johnny and Mario Milardo, Kevin and Brooke Terry and Sydney Ives and one great-great-grandchild, Derek Fuller; two brothers, Ronald McKee and his wife, Leola and Kenneth McKee and his wife, Beverly; three sisters-in-law, Constance Conlon, Edith McKee and Lynn McKee.

A funeral service was conducted on March 11, at 11 a.m., at the Whitehall United Methodist Church in Whitehall with Rev. C. Don Wheeler, Pastor, officiating.

 Interment will be in the spring in Greenmount Cemetery.

 Family and friends called at the Jillson Funeral Home, Inc., 46 Williams Street, Whitehall on March 10.

 Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Joyce’s name to the Whitehall United Methodist Church, 55 Greenmount Cemetery Lane, Whitehall, NY 12887 or the American Cancer Society, 959 Route 9, Mount Royal Plaza, Queensbury, NY 12804.
