Kenneth C. Heath, 61

 

 Kenneth C.  Heath, age 61, of Middle Granville, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2008 at the Indian River Rehabilitation & Health Center following a long illness.
Kenneth was born on Nov. 2, 1946 in North Creek, N.Y. the son of the late Carl and Doris (Tyrel) Heath.
In the span of his years, Heathy had been a farmer, logger and worked in various quarries throughout the area. Most recently, he had worked at Newmont Slate. He enjoyed hunting. His love and good times will be fondly remembered by his dog Jake.
Heathy was predeceased by a brother, Royce Heath, and a nephew, Royce Heath II. Survivors are his wife Flora (Winchell) Heath; a son, Kenneth Heath Jr. and his wife, April, of Granville, two daughters: Bonnie Matteson and her husband, Greg , of North Granville and Brenda Loveland and her husband, Joseph, of Middle Granville. Also one brother, Curt Jenks, and three sisters: Vera Hoyt, Doreen Dyer and Betsy Denno. In addition he is survived by nine grandchildren: April, Crystal, Gregory Jr., Ken III, Shawn, Amber, Danielle, Shawna and Joe Jr.. and nine great-grandchildren: Nakisha, Michael, Raelynn, Trista, Eric Jr., Alexis, Brooke, Kaedyn and Jayden, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St. Granville with the Rev. Robert Flower officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ken’s memory to the Granville Rescue Squad, POB 153, Granville, NY 12832 or the Alzheimer’s Association of Northeast New York, 85 Watervliet Ave., Albany, NY 12207.
