Andrea C. Decker, 59

Andrea C. Decker of Granville passed away on Aug. 26, 2008 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Andrea was born on Oct. 25, 1948 in Albany, the daughter of Rev. Fred and Clara (McDonald) Jones. Andrea had been a Certified Nurses Aid at Indian River Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She enjoyed beautiful sunny days and hours spent with her grandchildren. Andrea is survived by her husband of 40 years, William Decker, Jr.; a son, William Decker III of Cobleskill, N.Y.; a daughter, Schandee Decker of Granville; two brothers, Charles Jones and his wife Sandra of Long Island, N.Y., and Willard Jones and his wife Mette of Granville; and a sister, Cynthia Jones-Oliver of Connecticut. In addition, survivors also include her six precious grandchildren: Bradley, Jessica, Jeffrey, William IV, Alanah and Joshua. According to Andrea’s wishes, she will be cremated. A funeral service was held on Saturday, Aug. 30 at noon at the Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church St. Granville. Burial followed at the Mettowee Valley Cemetery in Granville. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
