Audrey W. McLaughlin

Audrey W. McLaughlin, 80, of First Avenue, passed away peacefully, on Aug. 25, 2008, at her home with her loving family at her side.

Born January 3, 1928 in Clemons, she was the daughter of Gerald Davis and Mary (Saladine) Davis.
Audrey enjoyed spending time with her family, watching television and rooting for the Mets.

Audrey is predeceased by her beloved grandson Clayton James Austin whom she has missed dearly, her sisters Eva Gebo, Doris Bombard, Gerri Manell, and one brother Robert Davis.

She is survived by her loving husband, of 56 years, William McLaughlin, Sr., her loving children William McLaughlin, Jr. and Rosemary Austin, her grandson Thomas Austin and his wife April and her great-grandson Levi of Greenville, S.C., her sister Shirley Nutting of Brattleboro, Vt., and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was conducted on Friday, Aug. 29 at 11 a.m. at the Whitehall United Methodist Church in Whitehall with Rev. Virginia Deyo, pastor, officiating.  Interment followed at Greenmount Cemetery in Whitehall

Family and friends were invited to call at the Jillson Funeral Home, Inc., 46 Williams Street, Whitehall on Thursday, Aug. 28.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to The Whitehall United Methodist Church, 56 Greenmount Cemetery Lane, Whitehall, NY 12887 in honor of Audrey’s memory.
