Jeffrey L. Stoddard, 52

Jeffrey L. Stoddard, 52, of Granville, passed away Monday morning, Sept. 8, 2008 after a long battle with cancer.

Jeffrey was born September 5, 1956 in Cambridge, N.Y.  He was the youngest son of Wayne and Irene Stoddard of Granville.

After graduating from Granville High School, Jeffrey joined the United States Air Force.  He proudly served for eight years including time in Europe and Korea.  He completed his time in the Air Force as a staff sergeant.

Jeffrey was a current member of the VFW and American Legion.  He enjoyed spending his time woodworking and refinishing old furniture.  He also loved working in his vegetable garden.

Besides his father, Wayne Stoddard, Jeffrey was predeceased by his brother Gary Stoddard.

Survivors include his mother, Irene Stoddard, one brother, Wayne Stoddard Jr. and his wife Penn Morris-Stoddard.  He is also survived by his son Jeffrey Stoddard Jr., nephew Adam and his wife Terilee Stoddard and niece, Laura and her husband Craig Daigle Jr.

A service was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery  in Schuylerville, N.Y., with Reverend Robert Flower officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Michael G. Angiolillo Funeral Home, 210 Broadway, Whitehall, N.Y.
