another heads up

Autumn leaves

The 22nd annual car show is trying something new and might have a rain date for what would be the first time. Organizers are making plans and closely watching the weather to try to see what would work best.

An earlier Sentinel mentioned the alternate date as

Oct. 5

but no decision has been made as of 2:23 p.m. on Friday. I will try to shoot an update out when I hear something, but that call is not expected to be made until Saturday.

That means the final time to get Granville Engine and Hose chicken until next year hangs in the balance. Have the chickens been ordered? will there be no-matter-what cooking? Stay tuned fearless reader.

And if it is made around 1 p.m., I’ll be standing in whatever rain is pouring down in Mechanicville.

Word I’m hearing and looking to confirm is that the Haunted House in Hampton, put on by their FD, will cease to exist. The FD gave/sold thier equipment to the Corinth FD who must be thinking about starting one up because I don’t remember them having one. Sounds like another one bites the dust due to manpower and manning issues. Too bad. I heard that was a good one.

more later???
