Geraldean Marie Dufford,

Geraldean Marie Dufford, age 88, a resident at The Orchard Nursing Centre in West Granville, N.Y., died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Rutland Regional Medical Center, Rutland, Vt.

Geraldean was born in Standing Stone, Pa., the daughter of Clayton and Mildred (Benjamin) Randolph.
She married the Rev. Paul Dufford on July 21, 1938, and was a supportive pastor’s wife for 57 years until his death in 1995. She was a talented musician travelling with the Binghamton Gospel Team. She loved serving the Lord, doing crafts, sharing her many creations with loved ones and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, her membership at the North Granville United Methodist Church and her affiliation with the Truthville Baptist Church.
Survivors include five children: the Rev Paul (Sylvia) Dufford Jr. of Comstock, N.Y.; Darla (Melvin) Patch of Bomoseen, Vt.; David (Bonnie) Dufford of Comstock, N.Y.; Marilyn (Ed) Wilson of North Granville, N.Y. and Sherry (Theodore) Matteson of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla. She is also survived by six granddaughters, seven grandsons and their spouses, 30 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews from New York, New Hampshire, North and South Carolina and Vermont.

Besides her husband and parents Geraldean was predeceased by two sisters, Agnes Cushany and Gertrude Osborne, and a brother, Clayton (Sonny) Randolph Jr.
Calling hours were Thursday, Jan. 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, N.Y. A funeral service was held on Friday, Jan. 2 at 1 p.m at the Truthville Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Gebo officiating.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be sent to the North Granville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 41, North Granville, NY 12854 or Truthville Baptist Church.
