Elaine S. “Pip” Bailey

 

South Granville: Elaine “Pip” Bailey, 66, of Taylor Hill Road, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Glens Falls Hospital after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family.

 

Elaine had a “green thumb” and loved gardening and doing crafts.  She enjoyed many outdoor activities including watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play, as well as the animals.  She was truly a loving, outgoing person.

Elaine was a member of Hartford Yoked Parish. 

Survivors include her mother Laura E. Sweet; her husband Ronnie Bailey of South Granville and his mother Dot Bailey; her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren: George W. Wolfe, Jr. of Hudson Falls, NY; his son Josh, daughter Sarah Wolfe and her daughter Mia Mosley; daughter Geneva E. Wolfe of Glens Falls and her two daughters Rachael Wolfe and children Gabrealle and Khloe; Chrystal Brooks and her son Jyden Wolfe; Malcome Wolfe and his wife Angela of Hudson Falls, NY; their two children Hope and Malcolm; Holly and Timmy Mattison, Sr. of Belcher, NY; their children Jessica Mattison and her son Arian Maxaum, Timmy, Jr. and Amber Lynn; April Ferguson and her husband Darren of Clemons, NY; their children Hannah, Darren, Jr. and Taylor; her daughter-in-law Deborah Wolfe and her two children Michael and Joseph of West Glens Falls.

She is also survived by one brother Fred Sweet and his wife Maggie of Hudson Falls; four sisters: Sandy Ely and her husband Wayne of Argyle; Sharlet Elms and her husband Charlie of South Glens Falls; Juanita Fish and her husband Owen, Sr. of Hartford and Kim Elms and her husband Keith of Hudson Falls; her special friends Nancy Makepiece and her two children whom Elaine was nanny to, Sydney and Timmy, Jr.  She had several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. 

She was predeceased by her father, Sidney Sweet; son Michael P. Wolfe, Sr.; two stepdaughters, April Bailey, Cathi Bailey and her baby girl.
