Marie C. Roder

Averill Park-Marie C. Roder , 91, of Rte. 43 died on Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at her residence. Born and raised in Whitehall, NY, Marie was the daughter of the late David N. and Leona E. LaChapelle Rivette and wife of the late Philip J. Roder Sr. Marie had resided in Troy and Watervliet before moving to the Averill Park area 70 years ago. Marie was a homemaker and was  a former Home Bureau member.

Marie was the grandmother of the late Paul Roder and Robbie Dunston.

Survivors include her children C. Avlon Roder of Altamont, Philip J. (Sharon) Roder Jr. of Reading, PA, John F. Roder of Averill Park, Ernest A. (Peggy) Roder of Sand Lake, Harold D. (Chris) Roder of Sand Lake and Charlene A. Roder of Watervliet. Marie was also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and several cousins.

Relatives and Friends are invited to call at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park on Friday 5-7pm.

All other services will be private at the convenience of the family.
