Early reports
are coming in regarding a fire near the border in North Granville. The fire broke out around 6 p.m. in a trailer park across from Vittengl (spelling?) Ford in the Comstock/ Fort Ann area just up Route 22 from the North Granville border.
Fire companies from North, Middle Granville and Fort Ann and possibly others responded to the fire. No word yet of any injuries. The mobile home was believed destroyed.
Fire fighters have told me mobile homes are notorious for burning quickly and completely in the absence of a quick response.
