W anda E. Hadeka, age 55, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Ocala, Fla., on Dec. 19, 2009.
Wanda was born on Nov. 6, 1954, in Granville, the daughter of the late Stanley C. and Stella (Zolnik) Hadeka.
Wanda obtained an AA degree from Adirondack Community College, a BS from SUNY Plattsburgh and her MS from Central Connecticut College. She was a police officer for the New Britain Police Department in New Britain, Conn. She retired in 2006.
Wanda was predeceased by her father, Stanley, in 2005.
Survivors are her mother Stella Hadeka of Clifton Park; two brothers Stanley Hadeka of Voorheesville and Edmund Zolnik of Gaithersburg, Md.; and a sister, Barbara Darius of Clifton Park. In addition she is survived by one niece and three nephews as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 9, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 23 Bulkley Ave., Granville, with the Rev. Tom Zelker presiding. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Middle Granville.
