Tatko pulling out of contest

Members of the Republican Party in Granville confirmed Tuesday night their candidate for supervisor will change for the election in November. The Sentinel learned at press time that Beverly Tatko, interim supervisor and candidate in the fall election for supervisor, has withdrawn her name as a candidate and will not run.
Deputy Supervisor Matt Rathbun confirmed Tatko had withdrawn from the Republican ticket over health concerns and another candidate was slated to sign on to run sometime Sept. 22. Rathbun declined to identify the new candidate. Interim town board member Mary Emery is the Republican candidate for the town board seat she now occupies.
