In memory of Snuffy Wetherby

A n act of love for a friend can come in many forms.  In books and in movies there have been many great scenes, but none could be more touching than the one displayed at Snuffy Wetherby’s funeral in Middletown Springs recently.  Snuffy was always talking and bragging about his horse Tommy.  He was a lover of all living creatures but this one topped it all.

Well, Tommy returned the favor as he led the funeral procession to and from the church.  The horse acted up with a whinny and a snort just prior to the beginning and once again when it was over.  But he was calm and peaceful for his best friend as he trudged along the trails to and from the church.

What a beautiful act of love.  Hats off to Tommy, a true friend to the end.  God bless you, Snuffy Wetherby.
