Robert J. Gould Appointed Vice President for Enrollment Management

G reen Mountain College welcomes Robert J. Gould of Albany, N.Y. as the College’s new vice president for enrollment management. Gould has served in a variety of higher education leadership roles for 19 years, most recently as vice president of finance (CFO) and administrative operations at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS), Albany. In his role at GMC, Gould will provide vision and leadership for the College’s student admissions and enrollment marketing operations.

At ACPHS, Gould was the chief financial officer with responsibilities for administrative operations. Prior to that position he was vice president for enrollment management at ACPHS for six years, during which time applications and enrollment doubled. He has also served as assistant vice president for enrollment management and marketing at Hudson Valley Community College, in Troy, N.Y. and as assistant director of admissions at Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y.

Gould received his undergraduate degree in business and public management from SUNY Utica and earned his master’s degree in corporate communications from Ithaca College.

“We’re very pleased to have a leader of Robert’s experience to direct our admissions and marketing efforts,” said GMC president Paul J. Fonteyn. “He has a solid track record in recruiting and fiscal management and will be a valuable member of our senior administrative team.”

Gould’s accomplishments at ACPHS included implementation of a campus expansion in Colchester, Vt., and obtaining a Vermont Employment Growth Incentive grant from the Vermont Department of Economic Development. He led several student centered building projects on the Albany campus. ACPHS experienced eleven consecutive years of enrollment growth under his leadership.

“I’m very excited to join the vibrant campus experience and to contribute to the meaningful dialogue among students and faculty at Green Mountain College,” Gould said.
