Norma Dirga, 87

N orma Jane Dirga, age 87, formerly of Factory Street, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Norma was born on Aug. 26, 1923, in Poultney, Vt., the daughter of Earl and Mary (Pepper) Gould.

Norma love playing bingo, going for rides and watching television. Time spent with family and friends and enjoying life was of the most importance to her.

Norma was predeceased by her husband, George E. Dirga Sr., and three sons, George Jr., Anthony and Peter Dirga. In addition, Norma was predeceased by her siblings, Ida Belle, Nora, Florence, Marion, June, Barbara, Pearl, Mabel Janet, Richard and Earl.

Survivors are her children, Michael Dirga of Hampton, Katherine Wade and her husband, John, of Wells, Vt., Helen Hurlburt and her husband, Richard, of Middle Granville and Mary Gregory Dirga of Plattsburgh; and a brother, Harry Gould of Ticonderoga. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren

A funeral service will be held for Norma at 11a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville.  Burial will follow at the Mettowee Cemetery in Granville.

Friends may call on Friday, Nov. 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
