Basketball abounds

D ue to the storm the Granville girls basketball team kicks off their run in the Whitehall Holiday Tournament today at 3 p.m. The team will play again tomorrow at 3 or 4:30 depending on the results of the first game. For the Whitehall boys thier tournament begins today with games at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Just up Route 12 here in Granville the boys basketball players look to follow up their success against Corinth last Thursday and take the first step in defending thier American Legion Tournament title from last year tonight at 7:30 p.m. Action starts before the Granville game however with junior varsity games at noon and 1:30 p.m. followed by varsity action at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Host Granville will play in the later game, with play on day 2 determined by the outcome of day one; day 2 games also start at 6 and 7:30 p.m.

Don’t let that cold winter weather keep you at home – the action in both Golden Horde and Railroaders gyms will be hot.
