Jacqueline Macheski, 46

J acqueline Macheski, age 46, of Danby, Vt., passed away at her residence on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011.

She was born March 1, 1964, in Rutland, Vt., the daughter of Joseph Macheski of Danby and Joan (Gould) Morey.

Jackie had been employed at numerous businesses throughout the years, a few being the Hookery in West Pawlet, Vt., Authentic Lighting in Rupert, Vt., as well as various greenhouses. Jackie was full of fun. She loved music. She was very competitive in card games, especially pitch and cribbage. She loved camping and the out of doors in general. She loved stacking wood, and always did so for her mother and stepfather.

Jackie was predeceased by two brothers, Jody Macheski and Jeffrey Macheski.

Survivors are her father, Joseph; her mother, Joan, and her husband, Rick Morey; and her companion and father of her sons, Tom Dorr. Jackie leaves behind her two sons, Thomas Dorr Jr. and Aaron Dorr, both of Pawlet Vt.; and a daughter Sierra Dickson, also of Pawlet. She is also survived by her brother, Kevin Macheski of West Pawlet; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Also surviving is a newborn niece Eva who was the apple of her eye.

A memorial service to celebrate Jackie’s life will be held on Monday, Jan. 17, at 8 p.m. at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
