Mary Dodge, age 91, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at Glens Falls Hospital.

Mary was born on Sept. 27, 1919, in Whitehall, the daughter of Edmund and Clara (MacDuff) Derome.
Mary graduated from Hartford Central School. Mary loved a good card game. She also enjoyed bowling. She was a member of “The Golden Girls.” She liked cooking and baking for her friends and family. Mary’s real passion was reading. Nothing beat a good book. She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Granville.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, Milford Dodge, on Nov. 20, 1978.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Smith of Queensbury, Donna Crocker and her husband, Donald, of Granville and Bonnie Murphy and her husband, Albert, of Gansevoort. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Collen Brainard, Jeff Smith, Kimberly Quick, Travis Crocker, Kelly Anastasia, Brian Murphy and Kathleen Deveney as well as 14 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 1, at St. Mary’s Church, 23 Bulkley Ave., Granville, with the Rev. Joseph Arockiasamy presiding. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St. Granville.

Memorial contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to the Haynes House of Hope, P.O. Box 285, Granville, N.Y. 12832.
