Fourteen students make all-county band

F ourteen Whitehall students will take part in the All-Washington County band show March 11 and 12, and they won’t have to leave town to do it.

“It’s going to be three days of non-stop music,” Whitehall band director Marc Pratt said, noting the that school hosts its annual Pops Concert Thursday, March 19, and the all-county festival follows with rehearsal Friday and Saturday, then the concert Saturday afternoon.

Kelsie Benjamin, who plays clarinet, and Megan Rozell, who plays flute, are in the all-county band for the fourth year, and trumpeter Janelle Cahee is there for the third time. Bri Cook will play mallet instruments.

Ashley Hobus will play flute. Stefan Leming will be on percussion, and Jaykob Neddo and Kaitlin Fiorini will play trumpet.

Whitehall also has six players in the junior all-county band. Trombonist Zach Gordon, tenor saxophonist Malia DeLorme, and trumpeter Sean Hart will be playing, as will Allison Truttling on flute, Olivia Short on clarinet and Rachel Lavin on French horn.
