A basket party will be held beginning at 11 a.m., Saturday April 16 at Whitehall Elks Lodge No. 1491 to benefit Gidget Machiski Connors.

Organizers are looking for donations for baskets and for help setting up on the day of the party.

Admission is $5, and extra cards are $3.

Baskets may be dropped off at Putorti’s Market or at the Clemons Post Office.

For further information, please contact Pam Hobus at 499-0951 or Bernadette Perrone at 499-2826.

Monetary donations can be sent to Pam Hobus, 576 Route 6, Clemons, NY 12819. They should be made out to NTAF-NY Spinal Injury Cord Fund with “Gidget Connors” in the memo line.

Connors’ husband Terry is a physicians’ assistant in Granville, Whitehall and Ticonderoga. Mrs. Connors was seriously injured in an automobile accident last April.

The fund-raising will go to help buy a handicapped-accessible van.
