Cole M. Rocque, 20

W HITEHALL  

Cole M. Rocque, 20,  of County Route 12, passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2011.

Born on August 20, 1990  in Glens Falls, he was the son of Joyce and Tobe Corcoran and Matthew Rocque and Becky McKee.

 He was a 2008 graduate of Whitehall High School where he graduated with a Advanced Regents diploma with honors.  He was a well rounded athlete playing football, basketball, baseball and tennis.

His academic and athletic excellence continued at Rensselaer Polytech Institute where he was in his junior year.  He played football for RPI and was on the Dean’s List for several semesters.  He enjoyed ice fishing, snowmobiling and snow boarding.

He is predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Joyce Blanchard , his paternal grandfather, Douglas Rocque and a cousin, Christopher Wescott.

Survivors include his mother Joyce Corcoran and her husband Tobe; his father, Matthew Rocque and his fiancee, Becky McKee, all of Whitehall; his sister, Kendra Rocque of Whitehall; his maternal grandfather, Hiram Griffin of Whitehall, his paternal grandmother, Carol Rocque of Whitehall; his aunts, Penny Whiting and her husband, Keith of Whitehall, Suellen Griffin of Grantham, NH, Betty Wescott and her husband, Bruce of Whitehall, Regina Novotny and her husband, Greg of Queensbury, Michele Sellers and her husband, Charles of Southern Pines, NC, Marcia Coso of Whitehall, Megan Frandino and her husband, William, of Kingston; uncles, Michael Rocque of Whitehall, Mark Rocque and his companion, Angela Scuderi of Ticonderoga, Martin Rocque and his companion, Tammy Stevens of Whitehall, Marshall Rocque and his wife, Tara of Ticonderoga; cousins, Danon Whiting, Laurel Whiting, Blair Rocque Tilley, Brooke Rocque, Emily Rocque, Luke Wescott, Dylan Sellers, Dyllan Winters, Madisen Coso, Hunter Coso, Brody Rocque, Chloe Rocque, Jacqueline Rocque, Jennifer Rocque, Kyle Rocque, Gaetano Frandino, Esabella Frandino, Rocco Frandino and Brielle Gregorio; a second cousin, Zuri Rocque-Melucci and several great aunts and uncles.

Family and friends may call at the Jillson Funeral Home, Inc., 46 Williams Street, Whitehall on Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 4 p.m.to 8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Whitehall with Rev. Michael Flannery, pastor, officiating.

Internment will be in the spring in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation in Cole’s name to the Whitehall School District Athletic Boosters,  Buckley Road, Whitehall, New York 12887.
