The School Board made adjustments in the proposed 2011-2012 budget Monday night, lowering the potential tax-rate impact, but the final decisions will be held off until a meeting scheduled for April 11.
“We need to wait to find out a few more details, especially whether the state is going to put any funding back and what happens with the CSEA contract,” Superintendent James Watson said.
Watson said the district will definitely need to take money out of the reserve fund to get the budget down to its target of a 2.1 increase. “We want to be thorough in our examination of the reserve fund. We do not want to sacrifice out future.”
