Whitehall — Bonnie J. Davis, 62, of State Route 4, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 1, 2011 at her home.
Born on May 7, 1948, she was the daughter of Reta ( Kovalosky) Parrott and the late Elmer Parrott.
She was a charter member of the Whitehall Lions Club and served in various offices, including club president. She was active in the Whitehall Friends of the Library for many years, serving as treasurer and helping to raise money for the Whitehall Free Library. She always wanted to help others in whatever capacity she could as in her devotion to the local Lions Club and the Whitehall Free Library.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and puzzles. She was loved by many and will be missed.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Davis, her maternal grandparents and her paternal grandparents.
Survivors include by her two children, Paul Davis of Whitehall and Bonnie Ellis of Glens Falls; her mother, Reta Parrott of Clemons, her sister, Linda Barber of Clemons, and aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Prayer Service was conducted on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 8:00 PM at the Jillson Funeral Home, Inc., 46 Williams Street, Whitehall, NY with Rev. Roberta Proper, officiating.
Interment will be in the spring in Greenmount Cemetery.
Family and friends were able to call at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to her daughter, Bonnie J. Ellis, P. O. Box 2435, Glens Falls, New York 12801 to help defray the cost of the funeral
