Shelia L. Parrott, 67

S helia L. Parrott, 67 of Montcalm Avenue, in Whitehall died unexpectedly on Monday, May 2, 2011.

Shelia was born on February 18, 1944, the daughter of Randall and Evelyn (Morse) Parrott. She attended Whitehall schools.

Shelia had an amazing will to persevere any hardship that was handed her. She was an inspiration to all that knew and loved her. She had a great sense of humor, was kind-hearted and was extremely wise. She loved the outdoors and had many great memories of growing up on her family’s farm on Morse Lane. She had a natural love of animals and small children whom adored her in return. She had an amazing green-thumb when it came to her vegetable gardens, was a wonderful cook, and a true friend to many. She will be greatly missed.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Victor Parrott and her adored dog, Dawn.

Survivors include her best friend and “adopted” daughter, Kari Harrington and her family, Dwane, Trevor, Gabriel, Tyler (her special little buddy), and Jayden Hurlburt of Whitehall with whom she enjoyed most of her holidays. She is also survived by her special cousin and confidant Karen Paddock and her family, John, Katie, and Brooke of Whitehall, her sister-in-law, Ina Parrott, niece, Brenda Rehm and family, nephew, Victor Parrott of

Whitehall and a niece Marie Hyatt and family of Gansevoort, her Montcalm Avenue “family” and numerous friends and cousins. Shelia also leaves behind her four adored cats, Mrs. Garfield, Boomer, Kozette, and Sandi.

Family and friends may call at the Jillson Funeral Home, Inc., 46 Williams Street, Whitehall, from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 14. At noon, a prayer service will be conducted by Rev. Michael Lemery, Pastor of the Faith Chapel Church of Whitehall, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Shelia’s name be made to the Whitehall Free Library, Williams Street, Whitehall, NY, 12887 or the Washington County SPCA, P. O. Box 171, Hudson Falls, NY, 12839.
