The Republican field for this fall’s town-wide election inDresdenhas been set.
The Dresden Republican Committee met July 6 and chose six candidates they hope will win election this fall.
Incumbent supervisor Robert Banks will seek reelection to a two year term. John Barber Jr. and Allen Wilbur will run for four year terms as town councilman and Richard Hobus will vie for the position of highway superintendent.
Jack Eggleston and Marci Wilbur will each run for four terms as Town Justice and Town Clerk, respectively.
The Democrats will choose their candidates at its party caucus at7 p.m.on Monday, Aug. 15 at the town hall in Clemons.
Only enrolled democrats are entitled to vote at the caucus, and no write-ins or floor nominations will be accepted.
All residents will have the opportunity to vote for Town Supervisor, two Town Councilman, Highway Superintendent, Town Justice and Town Clerk during the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
