LaChapelle leads golfers

W hitehall’s golf team won a non-league match against Warrensburg on Monday afternoon at the Skene Valley Country Club.

Colby LaChapelle won the pairing of the teams number ones defeating his opponent 3-1 and earning medalist honors with a 39.

However, Whitehall had to rally later after Robbie Pereau and Adam Bixby lost their matches 2-1 and 4-3, respectively.

Al Aubin evened the match at two all winning in the fourth seeded pairing and Chris Talbert won a close match 4-3 to give Whitehall the narrow win.

On Sept. 22, Whitehall hosted North Warren, Lake George, Hadley Luzerne and Bolton.

The Railroaders defeated Bolton 5-1 but fell in matches to Hadley, Lake George and North Warren.

Bixby had a strong performance for Whitehall winning three of his four matches on the day. Talbert added two wins and Pereau and LaChapelle earned medalist honors in their matches against Bolton and North Warren, respectively.
