Edward Van Guilder, 69

E dward VanGuilder, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at his home following a long illness.

Ed was born on November 25, 1941 in Glens Falls, NY the son of Ernest and Evelyn (Dennison) VanGuilder.

Ed was the Chief of the Hudson River Indians. His last employment was working construction for DC Realty. He also operated heavy equipment for a number of years, and in addition to employment, he considered this enjoyment as well.  His hobby was woodworking after his retirement.

Ed was predeceased by a son DuWayne and a grandson Nathan. Survivors are his wife Jessie (Goodspeed) VanGuilder. He is also survived by three sons: Mitchell, Ricky, and Randy all of Granville and a daughter Monalisa Wilson of Glens Falls, NY. He leaves behind his brother Ernest of Las Vegas and two sisters Judy Wood and Shirley Wood both of Florida. He was blessed with seven grandchildren: Eric, Alicia, Carlos, Nicole and Cody VanGuilder and Kristopher and Ashley Wilson and four great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 17, 2011 at 8 p.m. at the Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church St. Granville, NY. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
