Emerson E. Cook, 62

E merson E. Cook, age 62, passed away at the Albany Stratton VA Hospital on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011.

Emerson was born on July 31, 1949, in Granville, the son of Emerson and Alice (Benway) Cook.

Emerson had retired from Hubbarton Forge in Castleton, Vt. Emerson loved to spend his spare time hunting and fishing. Emerson enjoyed shooting pool with friends and played with closed friends and family over the years.

Emerson was predeceased by his parents and his brother Richard Cook. Survivors include his three daughters: Joy Cook of Florida, Kim Lubinsky and her husband, Erik, of Florida and Regina Nadeau of Whitehall; one brother, Wayne Cook and his wife Bella of Hampton and one sister Patricia Jurnak and her husband Mark of Granville. Emerson is also survived by five grandchildren: Lexis and Aylssa Lubinsky of Florida and Regina, Mary and Raymond Kasuba, Jr., all of Hebron as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service was held Monday, Oct. 17, at the Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville. Burial will follow at the North Granville Cemetery. Friends were able to call Sunday, Oct.16, at the funeral home. Online condolences may be emailed to kimmievt@yahoo.com.
