Skene Manor hosting basket party

The Skene Manor will host its annual Basket Raffle on Sunday, Nov. 26 at the Whitehall High School.

Organizers are asking for the help of local residents to make this year’s event a success. Residents are asked to donate themed baskets, cookies and sandwiches for the basket party.

Ready-made baskets will be available for anyone who doesn’t have the time to put together a basket and would rather just sponsor one.

Volunteers are also need to help setup tables and get the site prepared for the event. Anyone who can lend a helping hand is encouraged to swing by the school at 6 p.m. on Nov. 25.

The event itself will begin at 11 a.m. on the Nov. 26 and the drawing of baskets will begin at 1 p.m.

Admission to the event is $5 with additional tickets available for $2.

The Skene Manor will also host their annual Fuel Raffle during the basket party.

First prize is $1000 of fuel, second prize is $500 and three prizes worth $100 each will also be awarded.

Only 300 tickets will be sold and tickets are available at the Skene Manor or by calling Don Rodgers at 499-1766.

The cost of tickets is $25.
