Man arrested for pulling alarm

A FortEdwardman was arrested last week after he allegedly pulled a fire alarm inside a crowded bar onMain Street.

Kevin L. Bessette, 34, was arrested on Nov. 3 and charged with falsely reporting an incident, a second degree, Class E felony.

Bessette is accused of pulling a fire alarm at a local bar at approximately1:55 a.m.on Sunday Oct. 30.

Local volunteer firemen responded to the scene but most of the company was called off after it was determined to be a false alarm.

Several patrons at the bar witnessed Bessette pull the alarm and the act was also caught on video surveillance.

Bessette was released on his own recognizance and ordered to appear inWhitehall Village Courtat a later date.
