Winter Carnival events coming

T he Mettowee Valley Church will host a pair of winter carnivals this weekend. Both are open to “children of all ages,” according to Lyandon Warren, the pastor of the West Pawlet-based church.

Granville High School will host one of the events, which is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m., Friday March 2 in the high school gymnasium.

There will be games, prizes, carnival food, face-painting, balloon animals and a large bouncy house. There will be a band playing as well.

“Bring the whole family and enjoy an evening of fun to help offset those winter blues,” Rev. Warren said.

The following day, Saturday, March 3, the church will host the same type of event from 1 to 3:30 p.m. in the gymnasium at Poultney High School in Poultney, Vt.
