A local man was charged with driving under the influence following a domestic dispute earlier this month.
Michael O. Martindale, 31, of Hampton, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, after Fair Haven Police responded to the scene of a reported domestic dispute on South Main Street.
During an interview with Martindale, police determined he was the under the influence of alcohol and he admitted to driving. He subsequently failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Martindale refused to provide a breath sample and was charged with DUI refusal.
He was issued a ticket to appear in Rutland District Court at a later date.
