Motor stop leads to arrest of local man

A local man with a lengthy criminal record was arrested in Fair Haven, Vt., Friday for operating a vehicle without a license.

Daryn P. Lowell, 21, of Whitehall was stopped by police around midnight for a motor vehicle violation. Upon being interviewed, Lowell admitted to police his license was suspended for a prior DUI.

He was also ticketed for violation of conditions of release for a prior DUI, arson, and violating an abuse prevention order.

Lowell was arrested and released to appear in Rutland District Court at a later date.
