A local man who fired a gun into the floor of his Adams Street home has been indicted on a pair of charges.

Charles P. Kendall, 42, faces third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and second-degree reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor.

The indictment was handed up in connection to an April 26 incident in which Kendall is accused of firing a weapon into a bedroom floor following a dispute with individuals at the home.

When police arrived, they discovered Kendall owned a semiautomatic SKS assault rifle, similar to an AK-47.

The rifle had several modifications that made it illegal.

No one was hurt in the shooting and both guns were seized by the police.

Kendall was remanded to Washington County jail and is expected be arraigned in Washington County Court last this month.
