K athy Beaver, a veteran of the cabaret stage, will take flight this weekend.
Beaver will star in “I’m Flying” at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Whitehall Athletic Club.
Since she was a teenager, Beaver has been working in professional theater. She is a Julliard School of Music graduate and a Diller-Quiale School of Music faculty member.
She appeared in several roles at the Fort Salem Theater and while there, began working with Tony Parise on a cabaret titled “I’m Flying,” which is loosely based on her experiences as a flight attendant with Jet Blue airlines.
Steve Saari, a keyboardist who has worked with Vince Gill, Tommy Tune, and the Radio City Rockettes, will accompany Beaver.
The performance is being presented by the Bridge Theater.
Seats are available for $12 and can be purchased by calling 874-0800. Food and refreshments will be available.
