A local man was arrested Saturday after he prevented a female acquaintance from leaving a residence during a domestic dispute.
Bruno Mata-Hernandez, 22, of Maple Street was charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment, a misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment, a violation.
Police allege Mata-Hernandez shoved a woman and stopped her from leaving the home during a dispute. He eventually relented and the victim was able to leave the home a short time later uninjured.
Mata-Hernandez was arraigned in village court and sent to Washington County Correctional Facility for lack of bail or bond.
The investigation and arrest were handled by Whitehall Patrolman Scott Moulthrop.
