Talegatorz come to concert series

I t’s time for some talegating in Riverside Veterans Memorial Park.

The Talegatorz Old Time Jazz Band is the next act on the Music in the Park summer concert series and will take the stage at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24.

The band performs old time and traditional jazz from the turn of the 20th century through the 1940s and recalls an era when tailgating had more to do with a band traveling from town to town with their instruments hung over the back of a wagon than grilling in a stadium parking lot.

Airtight will perform the final concert of the summer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31. They perform music from the ’60s to today.

Admission to both concerts is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket.

The Music in the Park concert series is made possible by donations and contributions from local businesses and organizations including the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council.
