Golf slips to 3-2 with loss

W hitehall’s golf team dropped to 3-2 on the season with a 3.5 to 1.5 loss to Hadley Luzerne on Monday night.

Cullen Flynn picked up the only win for Whitehall, taking his match 5-4. Al Aubin picked up half a point by splitting his match.

Colby LaChapelle lost 2 up, Adam Bixby fell 3-2, and Robbie Pereau dropped his match 5-2 to Cory Saheim, who shot a match-low 42.

The Railroaders dropped a close match to Fort Ann on Sept. 10, falling 3-2.

Ahead by one pairing, Shane Monahan won the last two holes to defeat Aubin 1 up and clinch the victory for the Cardinals.

Bixby and Flynn both picked up wins and Chris Talbert tallied a win in an exhibition match.

The team travels to face Bolton this evening and will host Hadley Luzerne on Monday afternoon.
