A fter a well-matched but scoreless first half, the Granville girls soccer team lost to Greenwich 3-0 on Wednesday, Oct. 17. The Horde’s Amy Baker was busy in the net with 19 saves, and Emily Burke had a great game on defense for Granville. Granville was outshot by the Witches 22-6, but coach Carol Scott said although they lost, her girls performed much better than the first time they played Greenwich.
“Everyone did a fantastic job. These girls will win games as they grow and mature into talented soccer players,” Scott said.
