Christmas bazaar Dec. 8

N ow that Thanksgiving is here, many people will turn their focus to next month’s holidays and the shopping that has increasingly become part of the season.

But bargain hunters looking to avoid the mall and overcrowded outlets needn’t stray far from home. The annual Christmas bazaar at the Whitehall United Methodist Church will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8.

The event, which has traditionally been held in November, will feature a Christmas flea market, crafts, cookie and baked goods sales, and a “trash and treasures” sale. There will also be beverages and a lunch of soup and sandwiches available.

The sale will be located in the fellowship hall of the church at 56 Greenmount Cemetery Lane. Donations of items to be included as part of bazaar will be accepted following church services on Sunday.
