C hurches in Granville have several charities going on during the holiday season. For the month of November, St. Mary’s food pantry is in need of desserts like cake mixes, brownie mixes and pudding. The MVEC is also requesting six apple or pumpkin pies for its Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 17. There is a sign-up sheet in the church’s vestibule.

The Granville Baptist Church will hold a rummage giveaway on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Locals are invited to donate winter clothes, Christmas decorations, toys, kitchen ware or anything else on Nov. 28 to 30 from 3 to 7 p.m. For more information call Pastor Jim Peterson at 518-642-2245.

The Salvation Army once again needs bell-ringers for the Christmas season. Volunteers would be stationed at Price Chopper. A sign-up sheet for this cause is also in St. Mary’s vestibule.
