Memorial concert scheduled for Nov. 23

A memorial concert featuring nearly a dozen performers will be held Friday at the Whitehall Athletic Club.

The Dan Lafayette memorial concert will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the first band will take the stage at 6 p.m.

A local musician and drummer for former Whitehall-based band Stem, Lafayette died last month after a short illness.

Friday’s concert will feature the reunion of Livingston Bramble, another well-known local band, as well as performance by James Lafayette, Dan’s brother, and Tom Egan, the former bass player for Stem.

Other bands include Second Switch, Flakjacket, Bill Frandino and Company, Pete Telisky and Mark DeLuca, Kathi Brooks and ECHO, to name a few.

A silent auction will be held during the concert, band merchandise will be for sale, and food will be available.

Tickets are available for a donation of $10 and will be available at the door.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Lafayette’s children.
