Silent auction fundraiser

Find some unique holiday presents at a silent auction fundraiser of giftable items hosted by the Pember Library and Museum on Nov. 30. Christmas decorations, store-bought and handmade items, artist pieces and more will be available, and coffee and desserts will be provided by the Friends of the Pember Library. Items will be on display at the library, and interested buyers can place bids now through 7 p.m. on auction night. There are also many items for sale at the library and in the museum gift shop, some of which are handcrafted by local artists.

Unlike typical auctions at the library, this one will be a mystery auction. Bidders will write down their number and information and drop it into a decorated bag, so no one will know who bid the most until the winner is named. Officials will begin processing the items from 7 to 8 p.m., and winners need not be present. Proceeds from the event, which takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. will benefit the Pember.

For more information or to view the items visit pembermuseum.wordpress.com or call 518-642-2525.
