Robert Morehouse, 53

R obert P. Morehouse, age 53, passed away at Glens Falls Hospital on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.

Bob was born in Glens Falls, NY on Oct. 20, 1959, the son of George and Eleanor (Bassett) Morehouse.

Bob was a 1977 graduate of Granville High School. For a short time he moved to North Carolina but returned to Glens Falls. Bob worked at many machine shops throughout the area. Like his grandfather before him, he was an expert machinist.

Bob attended St. George Orthodox Church in South Glens Falls.

He was predeceased by his mother, Eleanor, his maternal grandparents, Arba M. and Doris Bassett and his paternal grandparents, George and Lena Morehouse. He is survived by his significant other of 13 years, Mary Ann George of Glens Falls, and a daughter Misty George of Florida. Also surviving is his father George R. Morehouse of Granville, two brothers, Dave of Fort Ann and Charles “Chip” and his wife Crystal of Wells, VT and a sister Deb of Hampton, NY. His extended family includes his aunts and uncles: Art Bassett and his wife Donna of Hudson Falls, and Edna Briggs and her husband Nelson of Granville, three nephews: Joe, Eric and Chip Morehouse, a great-niece and nephew and several cousins. Also, his friends Midnight and Angel Mary will miss him greatly.

Donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the St. George Orthodox Church, POB 1474 South Glens Falls, NY, 12803.

A funeral service will be held at a later date.

Local arrangements are under the direction of the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, N.Y.
