Hampton man arrested for drug trafficking

A Hampton man was indicted on federal charges that accuse him of being a major drug dealer in Vermont.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration charged Justin Billings with conspiracy to distribute heroin and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, both felonies.

According to court records, federal agents seized 6,073 bags of heroin, 10 guns and $90,000 from Billings’ home last July. The arrest came after he allegedly sold nearly 400 bags of heroin to a police informant.

Billings was indicted by a federal grand jury in Rutland, Vt., earlier this year and is being held in a jail in Vermont.
