Benefit motorcycle ride later this month

A local organization will hold a motorcycle ride later this month to raise money for the Disabled American Veterans Transportation Network.

The Lakes Region Independent Riders will host a benefit motorcycle ride on Sunday, Aug. 25.

Interested riders can sign up to between 9 and 10 a.m. on the day of the event at Castleton American Legion Post 50. The actual ride will begin at 10:15 a.m. A cookout will follow the ride at the Legion Post.

The cost is $15 per biker and $10 for each rider.
