Talegatorz to perform Friday night

fest tailgatorzIt’s time for some “talegating” in RiversideVeteransMemorial Park.

The Talegatorz Old Time Jazz Band is the next act on the Music in the Park summer concert series and will take the stage at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2.

The band performs old time and traditional jazz from the turn of the 20th century through the 1940s and recalls an era when tailgating had more to do with a band traveling from town to town with their instruments hung over the back of a wagon than grilling in a stadium parking lot.

The band Airtight is next on docket and will perform on Aug. 9. The group performs music from the ’60s to today.

Enerjazz, Vermont’s high energy big band and the Washington County Concert Band wrap up the concert series on Aug. 16 and 23, respectively.

Admission to all concerts is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket.

The Music in the Park concert series is made possible by donations and contributions from local businesses and organizations including the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council.
