Haynes House coin drop

T he Haynes House of Hope will hold its annual coin drop in downtown Granville from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 31.

All proceeds will go to Haynes House, which is a comfort care home for the terminally ill and their families on Route 149 in South Granville.

Anyone wishing to help with the coin drop should contact chairwoman Linda Angiolillo at 642-9707 or arrive at the Granville Chamber of Commerce building on Main Street at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31.

Organizers said that the public has been very supportive over the past few years with this event.

Haynes House will have another fundraising event on Sunday, Oct. 13.

The Trek for Hope, which will include a 5-kilometer run and a one-mile fun run for kids, will start with registration at 8 a.m. The 10K will be at 9 a.m., the one-mile run at 9:15 a.m., and the 5K at 10:30 a.m.

Haynes House is always looking for additional volunteers to help at the facility. Call 642-8155 for more information about volunteer opportunities.
