Gold Star mother to be honored

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 83 will honor Whitehall’s Gold Star Mother Catherine Aiken with a remembrance service on Sunday, Sept. 29.

Catherine lost her son William in the Vietnam War. The service will begin at 2 p.m. and is open to the public.

Whitehall’s American Legion Post is located at 148 Main Street in Whitehall.

Refreshments will be served after the service. Everyone is encouraged to join the auxiliary in honoring Catherine and her family.
